Case Study: Driving elite performance at Adelaide Football Club

The Adelaide Football Club is a professional sporting organisation that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), AFL Women’s (AFLW) and the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). The club wanted to ensure all employees were living the core values, with a desire to be world-class both on and off the field.



Teamgage was chosen as it empowers individual teams to own, measure and improve their results, as opposed to the need for top-down solutions.

Metrics were selected based on the clubs core values, with off-field teams submitting weekly, to compliment the weekly cycle of fixtures the clubs season is focused on.



After a successful rollout of Teamgage to all administrative staff, a decision was made to also include the football department.  This was a key demonstration of the flexibility of Teamgage, with bespoke metrics set up for each part of the business.

After using Teamgage for over 1 year, the club have been able to record an increase in every key metric.

Results are now discussed regularly and areas for improvement identified and actioned by individual teams.
